The Classic Stepmother

"Where is the thief you mentioned?" "She's here madame." I  heard noise all over the place. She opened her left eye to peek on what's happening. Someone was unlocking the cell. 'Don't tell me, I'm going to be free at last!' This time both of my eyes were finally open. But I froze when a woman entered the cell. She was a beautiful woman with long purple hair. Her eyes were that the color of the sky and it looked at me with scrutinizing gaze. My body for some reason suddenly shook. "She's your stepmother who abused you," Panda muttered behind me. "What? How come I have a stepmother?" I asked but I've got no response from Panda. This guide of me! This was the second time she was telling me these things very late! "Please! Stop it, mother. It hurts!" "I don't have a useless daughter like you. Just because your father pampered you, I will be the same." I held my head when memories resurfaced through my mind. So I didn't just transmigrate to anyone's body. The one I transmigrate had a life before here I was put to her body. "Yep. You get it right."  Panda said as if sensing whatever I was thinking. "Damn! Panda you should have told me these things sooner." I whispered. "You didn't ask me." Panda lazily flew over my head. "My daughter! Even if you commit thievery. I and your dad will still forgive you." The woman whom Panda said is my stepmother came closer to me and gave me hug, "What did I told you? You will never escape from me." She whispered to me which made me shivered. No, I'm the one who was shivering but this girl's body. "Madame Veron is really such a nice forgiving person. How come her daughter can commit such a crime." The chatty guard said. "Hush. Jeff. They could hear you." The lady stood up as she smirked at me. "It's alright. A child could commit one or two mischiefs when they are young."  "Oh. I see. That can be right." "We will now go gentlemen. I and my daughter have a lot of things to talk about." I see. I think I already get the gist of what happened to this girl. I yanked my hands away from the woman who kept calling me her daughter. Too bad, I'm the Nivea of this world. Although my body was still trembling, just how does this child have to experience that in the presence of this woman she couldn't stop shaking. "I'm not your daughter and I never had a mother like you!" I firmly said as I took a few steps behind them. The whole-cell was engulfed by silence. Although, I couldn't clearly remember everything but my deductions were never wrong. "I never steal anything." I scoffed. "That woman just framed me up. And if she is a good mother as she says hah. Why does she need to create wanted posters that I steal? Now the entire city might also hate me. If she truly cares for me, she would not shame me like this in the public." As I said those words, the trembling of my body lessened. The two guards, Jeff and the other one who probably escorted this woman on the cell looked at each other and at the woman with a doubting gaze. A sharp killing glint passed through the woman's eyes whom I forgot the name. Well, I don't care about that. You don't have to remember names of worthless and trashed human beings in the society especially those that abused society. My gaze shifted to the upper part of the open gate of cell.'If I fly I could  squeeze myself there.' "Hahaha!" The woman laughed. "Hoho. My daughter. You must still hate me for not getting you out of here. You know when kids threw tantrums they could do or spout things." "Oh, I see." The guard who escorted this woman said. 'Tsk. What a fool.' "No. I think the girl is telling the truth." We all turned around when Jeff suddenly spoke that out loud. "What she said made sense. I am the eldest of my ten siblings, Because of that I could tell whether a child is simply throwing a fit..." I smiled at the guard. At least there is someone who is sane in this place. But since their attention was on him. I immediately carried Panda. And threw her towards the woman. The woman was caught off guard as she tumbled on the ground letting out a small shriek. "Madame!" The other guard went to her with worry. I closed my eyes. Imagine yourself flying. My body started to arise from the ground. As my attention was now on the upper part of the cell, But then someone blocked me with his spear. "I believe in you this time kid." "Ouch! an ant bit my toe!" Jeff immediately crouched down making the way free for me to pass. "Thank you, chatty guard." I said as I went out of the gate, Seeing that I escape. The woman's eyes widened. "Seize her!"  I heard her shout that wrings all over the tunnels of this prison. But I focused on my way. Thank goodness that I memorize the way here when I got dragged here. "Excuse me!" I shouted when there are three guards walking ahead of me. They immediately gave way to me. "Hahaha. Thank you!' I said as I passed them swiftly. "Fools! She's a prisoner. Seize her!'  I didn't look back but I knew that the number of people chasing after I increased. After I took a few turns, I could finally see the end of the tunnel. My freedom! But then someone fell on the floor. 'Crap! My Grimoire!" I screamed in fright. The guards were so near that if I stopped right now, I would definitely get caught. 'I should have learned wind attacks before I went to this city!' "Tsk. Why did you have to throw me! Here's your Grimoire." It was Panda. She was flying now beside me. "Panda!" I immediately snatched my Grimoire to her. "I'm so happy that I've got this back." I hugged the Grimoire. *Swoosh!* As I made it out, the cold breeze of the wind was what first encountered me. I raised both my hands as I flew higher. "Birds should always be free like this!" I shouted. "Come back here!" I heard the shrilling sound of the woman. I raised my left hand towards her and gave her a crisped view of my middle finger. "Hah! So long dumbass!" I said as I flew high in the sky. "And you Panda, after we are gone here. You would tell every sh*tty detail that I need to know about me in this world. Alright?" "And why would..." 'You.Will.Tell. Me.Everything." I said with a threatening voice, "You don't want me to see me angry." "Tsk. Fine. Now there is no fun for me." Panda said as we flew out of the place. And yey. Congratulations to me. From a transmigrator. Helpless, magicless child. And now I was a runaway convict. So much character development for me. (Absolutely note my sarcasm on that.)  [Stop the famine that would befall the City of Wills] Plus this one kept reappearing in front of me. I just ignored it a while ago but now for some reason, I'm also getting annoyed with this. Sigh. What a life to greatly look forward to.
