This...This place is the Southern Sky? I looked at the desolate place in front of me. The land is completely barren. The trees are all dead. The air is completely colder. And everything was...I couldn't keep it anymore.

"Panda, what's happening here?"  But wherever I looked around, I can't see her. "Panda! Where are you?!"

I held my head as I heard the monotonic robotic voice resounded in my head. I felt like my head would burst any more seconds if the voice continued to resound more. After some while, the voice finally halted. 

The next thing I see is a translucent violet screen in front of me. "Your trial period finally ends. The real game will now begin here." I read what's written on it clearly. "What the heck is all of this, a game?"

The letters started changing on the screen.

"Choose the character that will be your companion in this world. Just click on the image below of your liking."

Images of different people appeared. This...They are all the characters of Beneath the Sky of Chaos!

The first image. Blond hair and sky blue eyes. He is the main male lead, of the novel. The crown prince of Atlas and has an overpowered tri-elemental mage with wind, lightning, and gravity magic. Not only that he is a genius in every aspect and has charismatic and gorgeous looks. He is definitely the embodiment of the perfect male lead material.

The next one is the saintess and the female lead. She has amber hair and dark eyes. Like me, she came from Earth and was summoned here to be the Saintess and fight off the demon king. She has a high affinity for light magic and greatly loves by faes.

The other ones are here too, the second male lead Jacob Swizz. Silver hair and gentle green eyes. Has a great affinity with ice magic. Not only that he is also a great tactician and very manipulative. 

Even the villain, the demon king, Art Sylvester is among the choices. He has deep blue hair and crimson ruby eyes. And has a very high affinity with fire and dark magic.

I kept scrolling down until...My hands trembled as I halted from scrolling from the panel.

"Hahaha. You're here." Something wet fell down my eyes.  "You're among the choices." Huh? Am I crying?

"Cry; it's the only thing you can do at this point. So weep it all out and then you'll be much stronger." Several sentences from the literature sprang to mind. The lines I've recorded and calligraphed several times. I kept reading and reading until the font style Courier New and font size 12.5 became imprinted on my mind.

And the lines said by someone, who is the sole reason why I prayed so many times to be transported, here, in this world.

Without any second thoughts, I clicked his image. 

The new message from the screen popped up once again.

Info: Lucien is a side character in Beneath the Sky of Chaos, who appeared once. He is a low ranked knight who died on the War of Atlas

So he is really that knight who died in the war. I clenched my left fist as I click the Yes button afterward.

As I finished reading what's on the translucent screen, it disappeared in an instant. When I blink my eyes, the once barren land was now completely gone. It is now replaced by green planes with different flowers blooming around. The trees that are dead before were brimming with life and standing tall. And the sky was completely bright and clear. It is like...as if I just woke from a nightmare.

"Nivea! Nivea! Hey, Nivea, Earth, ah no this world is Viloz now...Viloz to Nivea!" I turned around when I heard the familiar voice that I felt like I haven't heard so much before.

"Panda?" She is there once again, floating in the air. "Panda!" I grabbed her without any warning which also caught her off guard. "Where are you, when I need you the most?!" I wailed with no tears as I squeeze her into a tight embrace.

"Let me go, you fool! What are you saying? I never leave your side since we arrived here!" 

"You're lying! When I arrive here, the land was all barren and creepy, not only that but a weird screen appeared then...then you're not there?!"

"Nivea! Nivea! Hey, Nivea, Earth, ah no this world is Viloz now...Viloz to Nivea!"

"Huh? Panda why are you repeating yourself?" I asked.

"Yes. I kept calling you but you won't answer me." Panda crossed both of her hands. 

"I was going to say that the land became barren and that weird scree...Arghh." I held my head when suddenly it was assaulted by pain.

"Nivea! Nivea! Hey, Nivea, Earth, ah no this world is Viloz now...Viloz to Nivea!" 

Don't tell me, it has that kind of plot that I couldn't tell whatever sh*t is going to me? Darn. This is nuts. Even at Panda? But why? What's this a Re-Zero story. Then is there a witch inside my heart? No, the one that hurts is my head plus...

"Nivea!" Panda this time punch my shoulders but it only tickled me. "Stop dazing already. We will now go to the city of Wills.

That's right. The city of Wills? The Famine...Now, why do I feel like things will not be that easy anymore?
