Sam tapped on the steering wheel and stared out the windscreen at the house. He knew his mum was right, he needed to distance himself from Dean and decided after the two last episodes of Gears and Tears had finished, he would return the key to Dean, and avoid him until his heart stopped aching. He closed his eyes, breathed deep, then approached the house with all the forced enthusiasm he could muster. Dean opened the door, but his grin fell almost instantly. “What’s wrong?” Sam’s fake smile felt tight on his face, but he persisted. “Nothing.” “You’re smiling as if you’re angry.
