The ocean is crashing against the shore in the distance. The night is pitch black; a thick cloud cover has been blanketing the sky all day so I don’t have the moon to guide me. But the curiosity of what Isak is up to fuels my steps, and I’m almost skipping up the steep incline in my eagerness to get there quickly. This year has been wonderful; there’s no other word for it.
