CHAPTER SEVENTEEN The next morning, she found out everything she needed to know. Eric provided overwhelming answers, preempting anything she might want to ask. Seven thick piles of paper sat on the dining room table. Each with designated itineraries and attached envelopes, waited next to a croissant, and an empty mug. Her stack included tickets to Newark airport, rental car confirmation numbers, hotel reservations, and the lockers, where she’d have to switch her empty, gray luggage for the filled-up luggage. She couldn’t take any clothes, other than the ones on her back. If garments were needed, they would need to be purchased locally.
