The Warden dialed a number and put the call on speaker phone. “Is this Becca Wood?”
“Yes, it is.”
“I’m calling from a women’s prison in Florida. Don’t worry, everything is fine. I just wanted to know if you can come get your sister. We can only release her to immediate family members.”
Becca sighed. “Oh no, what did she do?”
“Not anything serious. It seems, she hit her head during that big storm and also forgot where she lives. Losing her home didn’t help. Meanwhile, her lapse of memory is returning. We’re pretty sure, she’ll be back to her former self, in a couple of days.”
Linda spoke up. “Can you come or not?”
