CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE The long flight gave Eric a throbbing headache. After a short layover, he caught a bus heading to Israel, where he planned to visit a nature reserve at the Ayun River, in the Galilee Panhandle. The Nahal Lyon springs originate in Lebanon, and flow southward into tributaries of the Jordan River. Filled with picture-perfect waterfalls and rushing streams, he had looked forward to some of the prettiest parts of this adventure. Right now, however, his head felt wedged between the bus axle and the tires. And, though he had enough medicine to drug several nations, he didn’t even carry an aspirin.
