“Daniel?” As I opened the front door and saw him standing there, I almost didn’t believe he was finally back.
“I’m sorry for taking so long to come and see you. I was really busy with work…” An apology instantly left his lips as Daniel brought me in for a hug.
I was still somewhat amazed he was even there, I felt like the three weeks I haven’t seen him were much more than that…
“I missed you…” I managed to utter as I held him tightly. My hands were probably squeezing him far too much but I didn’t care. At that time his cold as ice body felt so soothing in the summer heat, even through his clothes I could feel the coldness and it brought me comfort.
