CHAPTER 94
Elena's P.O.V
I sneaked out through the window. I made sure to put on black clothes to blend in with the night, but before I left, I made sure to pay a visit to the power box down in the basement, where I flipped off the lights. I knew that the backup generators would kick off in five minutes tops, so I made haste.
I quickly sneaked out with relative ease in my black pants and black sweater. The guards were all huddled at a single place where they were chatting away loudly, and I slipped away, making sure that they didn't catch my scent. I began to walk as fast as I could while at the same time keeping as quiet as possible. I knew that once I entered the forest, I would be gone for real, and my heart yearned for the Forest's embrace and sanctuary.
"Going somewhere, Elena?"
