I gasped, stunned by his words, “What do you mean?” a crease of frown formed on my forehead as I took cautious steps away from him as though he wanted to take advantage of me, well, that seemed to be the case right now.
“Don’t think I’m trying to take advantage of you, believe me when I say that’s the last thing I’ll ever do.” His voice was gentle and flagged me with a sense of assurance that he meant what he was saying but I wasn’t about to let my guards down just yet.
“How do you expect me to believe those words after what you just said?” I frowned in confusion, staring at his blank expression as he didn’t seem to be at all fazed.
