Isabella's P.O.V
My heart jumped to my throat all at once. It seemed Ethan was finally ready to address the skeletons he had hiding in his cupboard. It seemed he was finally ready to tell me what does vials were for. I waited eagerly with anxiousness trickling through my veins as Ethan began to open the chest.
The initial silence that had descended on the room was interrupted all at once by a loud rap on the door. Ethan looked up; his eyes met mine, and I saw frustration flash briefly in his eyes before he quickly put the chest back into the drawer and where it belonged.
"Come in," Ethan said.
The door swung open immediately revealing Brian. His eyes met mine and he frowned before turning to Ethan. "Excuse me, Ethan, I didn't mean to intrude." He apologized.
