Lindsay was just walking into the sheriff’s department when her phone rang in her pocket. She pulled it out and answered, “Hello,” without looking at the caller ID.
“Did you arrest my mother?” Wren asked.
“Yes, I did, but there was a reason,” Lindsay told him. “Let me get to my office, and I will explain it to you. Not everyone needs to know everything.”
