Chapter Seven I quickened my pace and slipped into the car beside him. The driver wasted no time starting the engine and pulling away. The car was eerily quiet, though it no longer felt strange. Lucas rarely spoke. My mind drifted to what grandpa had said earlier. Grandchildren. I scoffed. That wasn't going to happen.
