Prologue: Meeting Again

Winter finally has Demetria’s address, which is in Paris, France. She’s already in front of her house. She scoffed, thinking that Demetria went to the other side of the world just to hide from her. But now, there’s nowhere to run that she finally found her. She pressed the doorbell and waited. After a few minutes, the door opened, revealing Demetria, a shock in her face. “…Winter?” Winter smiled. “The one and only.” “What are you doing here?” “Came looking for you, obviously,” Winter answered. Demetria just looked at her, not knowing what to say. Winter shrugged. “I have to say, I missed you, Tria,” she said. Then, a voice interrupted them. “Mom? Is that Uncle Andrew?” Winter furrowed her eyebrows. “Mom?” Demetria looked over her shoulders. “It’s not, sweetie. It’s Mom’s friend,” she lovingly answered. Then, she walked out and closed the door behind her. “You can’t be here,” she told Winter. “Why not?” Winter asked. “Was that your daughter?” “Yes, she is,” Demetria didn’t hesitate to answer. Winter scoffed again. “So, you found someone else?” Demetria shook her head. “I didn’t.” Winter rolled her eyes. “Then, how come you have a daughter?” Demetria just stared at her. “Who is she?”
