Home, At Last
Yoojung clutched her bursting-at-the-seams backpack close to her chest as the bus taking her back to her hometown cruised steadily along the highway. Seoul, ever awake at this time of night, bade her goodbye, its bright lights dancing across her face as she admired the view out the window one last time.
The bus pulled over at an intersection near a commercial center, the huge LED screen on its façade displaying a Domino’s pizza ad. Seeing Yihwan, Steven, and Minchan on screen excitedly opening a box of pizza made Yoojung smile. The ad ended with a close-up shot of Yihwan taking a huge bite of pizza, and suddenly, she wanted a box of that all-meat carbo-loaded goodness to herself.
Maybe she wanted Yihwan too.
