I Changed My Husband At My Wedding

CHAPTER 3

　　When I got close to him, I said…. You…. Yes, you, I said, pointing at him, you in a cute black tuxedo, I’ll marry you. You will make a perfect groom.

　　I said, making everyone stunned.

　　Peter turned to look behind him and saw that I was referring to his best man, yes, his best man. Since he could cheat on me with my best friend, why can’t I get married to his best man? What a fabulous plan.

　　He immediately came down from the altar in shame and anguish as the media tried to get pictures of his miserable face but he was heavily guarded.

　　I looked at my perfect groom in front of me still looking confused and unsure of what was going on but I saw love and sympathy in his eyes. At least marrying out of pity is way better than getting married to a cheat, right?

　　Priest please continue with the vows.

　　The priest adjusted his suit as his face reads, ‘ this is the most awkward wedding I’ve ever conducted’ but I didn’t mind.

　　He cleared his throat and said, Do you, Mia Miller, solemnly swear to take this guy as your lawfully wedded husband, to love and cherish him, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health till death do you part?

　　Then it hits me that I don’t even know his name. How crazy can this ever get? I smiled within myself. I mumbled a sorry for not asking your name to him and he gave me the warmest smile I had ever seen.

　　Yes, I do. I said with a big smile on my face as the crowd applauded us.

　　Do you, some guy….. it’s Liam priest, it’s Liam

　　Andrews, he said out of frustration, which made me and the congregation laugh.

　　Ok, so sorry the priest said.

　　Do you Liam Andrews, solemnly swear to take Mia Miller as your lawfully wedded wife, to love and cherish her, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health till death do you part?

　　I looked at him really hoping he would say yes, and prove to me that I had made the right choice. I guess he noticed the look on my face and understood what I was feeling.

　　Everywhere was awfully quiet, until he finally broke the silence by saying….

　　Yes, I do.

　　The crowd immediately stood up from their seats as they applauded us, this time more louder with screams and happy cheers.

　　My face lit up with a smile after mumbling a thank you to him.

　　You may kiss the bride, the priest said.

　　I drew him to myself and planted a passionate kiss on his lips. That was the best moment of my life, his lips were so soft as I took in every bit of it and had to pull off to catch my breath.

　　I watched Peter and his family members from the side as they live in anguish, that was my goal, at least now he knows how I feel. The congregation, still in a standing ovation, threw flowers at us with great cheer in the air.

　　Thanks to each and every one of you that stayed, I really appreciate it. You can all enjoy the rest of the party. There are plenty of food and drinks at the reception. I hope you get to your various destinations safely, God bless you.

　　We were escorted by the bouncers to the parking lot as people watched the newly wedded go home. The media didn’t fail to take pictures of us as we left.

　　We got to the parking lot and I asked Liam, would you love me to drop you off?

　　No don’t worry I came with my car, he said as he pointed to a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe.

　　I was in awe as I stared at the car, which is among the top ten most expensive Mercedes Benz cars right now. You are really rich and I am really lucky.

　　Ok then, bye. I said as I entered my car as my manager Mr. Aaron took the other vehicles with my escorts, it was a Mercedes Benz also but not as expensive as his’.

　　I got home to my luxurious mansion feeling really tired and exhausted, today was really eventful. Realization just hits me that I just got married to a total stranger. This is what happens when you don’t think before doing something.

　　But if I may say, I have really good taste, how come I didn’t see Liam before Peter.

　　I was jolted back to reality when I saw my wedding on the news. At first I felt heartbroken, but considering the kind of revenge I gave to them both, I deserve an applause.

　　Got myself into? What’s the big deal that I’ve gotten myself into? Mr. Aaron can be so dramatic, but the look on his face didn’t tell if he was joking.

　　I moved into the bathroom to take a bath and soon I was out. I got dressed and went downstairs to know the big deal, which I’ve gotten into.
