At the top of our complete and unabridged sense of joy, just as I thought that nothing in the world could disturb or destroy it, a deafening noise broke out, nothing short of a meteor crash landing somewhere nearby! The shock and fright broke us apart from our embrace. An ominous silence took over shortly after. Before long however, a faint rustle born out of nowhere grew into a continual droning.
I looked quickly at the waterfall. Its speed had gathered a tremendous pace! The sheer force of all that water falling appeared like a demonstration of brutal overwhelming force, crashing down mercilessly on top of everything withstanding it. I was as if somebody had cut it loose from the hinges that kept its upper end hanging in the sky and balanced its flow.
