My inner struggle was unimaginable. At that very moment, the candle light bobbed up and down, trying to make itself noticed. She felt upset for me. ”What’s the matter?” the agitated flicker of her flame seemed to question me. She could see a change in me and feared that I could leave her for good. I didn’t say anything. I spread my jumper on the pillow and I lied down fully dressed. I covered myself with the duvet and I turned around facing the wall. The candle whispered: ”Master, are you going to sleep already?” ”You’ll have to excuse me, I want to go to sleep as soon as possible to get rid of this bad mood that is making me feel so miserable. Why don’t you put your flame out tonight and go to sleep to spare yourself? We’ll decide tomorrow which way to go with our story. Good night!”
