The following days, Sheila did not get to see David. He would wake up early and leave for work. She figured out that he must be avoiding her.
That realisation did not sit well with her.
She was trying to concentrate on her designing when her phone rang. At first, she thought it was Fred calling so she hesitated to pick up the call. After that fateful day, he never called her again.
