I watched, frozen in place, as Yvonne smiled and stood up. She walked up to Allison, who stood stiffly, her eyes fixed on Yvonne with an unwavering gaze.
Yvonne's voice was sugary sweet. "Wow, what an interesting question. Now, should I put it into practice or should I tell you the response?"
Allison's response was curt. "Do what you want."
Next, Yvonne laughed, and her laughter sent a shiver down my spine. Why were almost all the girls I knew real straight-up psychos?
"You know what? I should put it into practice. It will be more fun."
She turned to the rest of us sitting on the floor, waiting for whatever happens next. "So, what do you guys think? What if I put it into practice?"
The room fell silent, with everyone exchanging nervous glances. Finally, they nodded in unison.
