I walked into my dorm room, fresh from a shower. My roommate was nowhere to be found, probably out with her boyfriend. I decided to settle in for a quiet evening, watching movies on my laptop.
Just as I was getting engrossed in the film, there was a knock at the door. I checked the peephole and was surprised to see Jayden standing there. I opened the door, and Jayden flashed a charming smile.
"Happy New Year, Allison," he said. "We haven't seen each other since we came back to Boston. I actually missed you a lot, you know?"
I rolled my eyes. Does he actually know how hard I've been trying to ignore him?
"What do you want, Jayden?"
Jayden walked in without waiting for an invitation. "Aren't you going to let me in?" he joked, making himself at home.
