As I stood on the makeshift stage, the crowd's anticipation was palpable. People were holding up their phones, eager to capture the moment.
"I'm Jayden Harper, a computer science student at Boston College, final year, almost done with my degree," I began, my voice echoing through the speakers.
I glanced at Allison, who was simply staring with little or no emotion. "And here's my...ex-step-sister, Allison Bells. Our parents divorced a few days ago, so I guess that's what I should call her now."
The crowd erupted into laughter and cheers, unsure of what to make of the situation.
I continued, my voice growing more serious. "So, while we were still living together, back then as step-siblings, we...connected. And I realized I fell deeply in love with her."
