Shocking Fate

“Doctor ! Please will my sister be fine I can't lose her” Alex said sobbing and stares at Ella who lied helplessly on the bed .

“ She will be fine she just passed out due to shock she will definitely be fine , she should be up in few hours”

Few hours later

Sebastian brother came to the hospital after hearing about Ella's condition.

I gently opened my eyes hoping everything that happened was just a dream but unfortunately I saw Alex and uncle Sammy sitting next to me.

“Where is mom and dad! I need to talk to them, I want to see my parents , they told me they will be right back , where are they?” Ella said immediately she opened her eyes tears were flowing down her eyes she wanted to jumped out of the bed

Uncle Sammy quickly rushed to her and held her back from jumping from the bed , Alex still did not understand what she was saying . Mom and dad ? What could have happened? Alex started shivering after witnessing Ella crying bitterly.

“ Everything is going to be fine , you are going to be just fine . Mummy and daddy as gone to a place we can't reach out to , they are gone but don't worry they are going to be watching on you every day and night” uncle Sammy tries to calm Ella down just then Alex screamed very loudly

“Mummy! Mummy! This can't be happening my mom told me she would be back and I should be of my best behavior, she told me not to fight Ella that she was coming with my dad you told me all this a few hours ago

No! this is unfair how could this happen to us daddy you can't leave us now , I can't live without you” Alex started screaming at the top of his voice the pain and shock was just too much for him to handle.

Uncle Sammy quickly ran to Alex who was rolling on the floor , he carried him up but Alex was struggling to be freed from his grip

“Listen to me both of you, there is nothing we can do about it , you have to be strong your mom and dad won't be happy when they see you want to injure yourself because of them , you guys should calm down everything will be fine , let me go and clear the bills the doctor said you can go home tomorrow morning, I will be right back” Alex was not even paying attention to what he was saying , he was crying uncontrollable , he ran to Ella and hug her very tightly.

They both started crying uncontrollable

“ I didn't know that was the last time I will speak to dad , his voice was so lovely I can't just get it out of my brain , when he told me to tell you he loves you so much, he also said you should await your punishment because I told him you have being disturbing me since he left , those words just kept ringing in my ears , I can't get Mom picture out of my head, the hug , her warning everything just seems like magic to me, how could this happen within a short period of time” Ella said while crying bitterly with Alex in her arms.

“ Ella, how are we suppose to live without them, am just 16years old am still in college and you are 18 , you just planning to enter University next year will that be possible again ? Now that fate as hit us hard” Alex managed to utter those few words because he was almost losing his voice due to his excessive crying and shouting.

“ Of course it will be possible, you guys will continue your education because I made a promise to my brother to take care of you two, you guys are going to be staying with me from today's henceforth and tommorow is your parents burial so we would be going to your house today to get your stuffs” uncle Sammy said walking into the room.

The word burial hit Ella so hard. So they are no more, we won't see them again like forever , I and Alex would be staying at uncle Sammy place's which I know will be a living hell because Sandra who happens to be their uncle's wife despise them because grandma is always comparing us with her children this were the thoughts running through her mind.Tears flows down Ella eyes hearing about her parents burial.

“Guys I won't be able to stay with you tonight I have to go back home but I promise I will be here first thing tomorrow morning, so please take care of yourself and don't try to do anything silly, am I clear?” uncle Sammy said with a calm voice

They both nodded in agreement and he went out of the room leaving both of them to themselves.

“Ella can you please tell me what that man told you when he called?” Alex asked Ella who was staring at the ceiling looking devastated.

Flash back……….

“Yes sir what can I do for you please?” Ella asked

“ Am so sorry but I noticed that this is the last number Mr Sebastian called I guess you are related to him , he and his wife had a fatal accident few minutes ago and we are sorry to tell you that they are dead”the man said feeling sorry for little girl on the phone.

“I don't understand, what do you mean”Ella said stammering and crying.

Flash back ends….

“ I couldn't understand what the man meant , it came as a shock to me , I couldn't handle what he said” ella said crying profusely , Alex came to her and hug her tightly he crys along with her. They didn't know when they slept off.

How I wish I could open my eyes to see Dad and Mom next to me Ella thought as she gently opens her eyes and stare through the window. It around 7am and uncle Sammy is not here yet am sure he must have gotten into a huge fight with Sandra for wanting to bring us to stay with them Ella kept thinking about about this as she turns her head down and looked at the innocent boy lieing next to her.

“ I will make sure I take good care of you , I won't let mom and dad down and I hope they help me out because I can't do all of this by myself” Ella told Alex who was still sleeping as tears rolls down her eyes. Just then uncle Sammy came in.

“Good morning Ella how are you feeling I hope you are feeling better now?”

“Yes uncle am feeling much better now”Ella said with her already cracked voice.

“That good to hear, we have to get to your place now because the burial is around 10 and am sure you don't want to be late for that” he said staring at Ella sad face. She tapped Alex to wake up and he sluggishly opens his eyes his face were all swollen he must have cried throughout the night.

“Good morning Uncle” Alex said still not fully awake.

“Morning my dear I know you are very tired but we have to go home and get some of your things your parents burial is around 10” Haven't said that Alex immediately opens his eyes wide and stood up , Ella joined him and they followed their uncle gently out of the hospital.

Few minutes later, they arrived at their house no one would ever imagine that this would be there very last time in their own house

Ella and Alex quietly came down from the car and went inside the house . Uncle Sammy joined them later.

“ You guys should go take what you need I will be downstairs waiting for you please be fast with that” he said. They both nodded and find there ways to there respective rooms .

Ella slowly opened the door of her room and couldn't control her tears , she couldn't ever imagine that she would be leaving her house like this she went to her wardrobe packed some of her clothes and some valuable things she was about leaving her room when she remembered she as forgotten something important , she went to her drawer and brought her the bracelet her mom gave her , she wore it around her neck she took a good look at the room and went out of the room. She met Alex at the front of his room crying profusely she went to him to console him”

“It fine dear , everything will be just fine stop crying” Ella told him also fighting her tears .

“ Can we take a last look at mom and dad's room” Alex asked. Ella nodded and they both went to there parents room. They stepped into the room and they couldn't stop remembering their parents face and how happy they were few days ago.Ella packed her parents pictures and put it inside the bag.

“Alex let go am sure uncle Sammy is losing his patience already”Ella told Alex who sat down on the floor crying immediately she said that he told up wipe his tears and they both went downstairs.

Uncle Sammy stares at the children coming downstairs he felt so sorry for them, who could have thought Sebastian could die just like that he still called him the night before his flight. He could remember vividly Sebastian telling him to take care of his children if anything should happen to him, he as to fulfill his promise.

“ Let getting going now guys “ he said and lead the kids out of the house.

They arrived at the funeral service quite on time the funeral haven't started yet.They were lot of people at the burial who Ella wondered how her parent knew all those people.

Shortly after the funeral started,the caskets were placed under a canopy and people started paying their last respect and dropping flowers next to them.

It looks like magic everything happens so fast, Alex finds it difficult to look at his parents corpse it was just too painful for him eventually he summoned the courage and stepped forward. He saw Amelia innocence face she closed her eyes as if she was fast asleep and he noticed a big cut on her neck he could not help but cry he looked at Sebastian whose eyes were shut and his face were all whitish.

“Dad , mum you didn't tell me you were not be coming back to us, you guys left me and Ella all by ourselves don't you think that was too harsh how could you let death take you away from us” Alex said crying uncontrollably as Ella came to console him with tears on her face as well.They continue crying on that spot not until uncle Sammy came to take them away as it was time for the lowering of the corpses. As they took the corpse away to bury them Ella and Alex were shouting and screaming and they drew everybody attentions to them and the crowd couldn't stop pitying them, shaking there heads in sympathy.

After the funeral , everyone started leaving one after the other some people came to sympathise with the children while some gave them money. It was just a day Ella and Alex could never forget in there entire life.

Fews hours later , Ella noticed that Sandra and her kids also came to the burial and she was staring at them with no emotion written on her face. Just then uncle Sammy walked up to them.

“Go meet your aunty Sandra and tell her I said you guys can go home now I think I still have one or two things to sort out here he said with a sad smile on his face.

“Ok uncle” Ella responded and went to Sandra's place with Alex following her at her back .

“Hello ma , uncle Sammy said we can go home now that he as things to do and he will join us at home” Ella said looking at Sandra who kept staring at her like a hungry monster looking for food to devour.

“Ok let go home, help me with my bag or that too much to ask since you just lost your parents it not like I asked them to die” she said brutally hitting her bag on Ella chest.

Ella could not hold her tears , she started crying, Alex consoled her and stares at the wicked woman who walked towards the car .

“ Don't cry Ella, it not going to be easy staying with this wicked witch she is just too aggressive as if we are the one who said grandma should prefer us to her children but I know everything will be fine and am sure dad and mom will not allow any harm to get to us as uncle Sammy said , he told us that they are watching and protecting us from up there. So stop crying , what do you want me to do if you continue crying like this” Alex told her and she immediately wipe her tears she wasn't expecting anything good from Sandra but she didn't know she could be this wicked.she thought and they walked towards the car.
