When Love Strikes

Lilo came back with the doctor few minutes later.

“How are you feeling Ella” the doctor asked touching her forehead.

“I still feel a little bit dizzy and my head aches alot” she responded touching her head.

“You will feel better it just normal for you to feel like that I will tell the nurse to administer some pain killers to the drip you would feel better don't worry just make sure you don't stress yourself too much and get enough rest” the doctor said and turned to the nurse.

“Add 5mg of diclofenac and brexanolone to the drip, I want her to rest alot.” The doctor said and she quickly went to get the injections.

“Doctor thank you so much” Lilo said

“You are highly welcome Mr Lois and sincerely speaking Ella as a strong desire to live because her case was really a severe one” the doctor said and left. The nurse came back and administer the injections into the drip. Not quite long after the nurse left Ella fell asleep.

After some time, Carlos arrived at the hospital and saw Lilo and the kids having a good time together.

“You guys are really having fun”Carlos said as he entered the room

“Dad! You here we got a good news for you” Jasmine said jumping on him.

“What that” he asked looking at Lilo

“Ella as woken up they all echoed together”

“Is that true” Carlos asked Lilo who nodded in agreement.

“ That good to hear am so happy I have being praying for her both day and night.So why is she still asleep?“ He asked

“She said her head aches alot so the doctor gave her some sleeping pills and also pain killers” Lilo explained to him.

“Am extremely happy and Lilo can I ask you a question” Carlos asked

“Yes sir” he replied

“Why is it that you are the one caring so much about Ella instead of your friend you weren't even the one who hitted her so why are you showing so much concern” he asked

“Seriously speaking I don't know either I just felt like this is the appropriate thing to do I don't know why am doing this let just say because she is a very good girl” Lilo said not knowing how to answer the question.

“Ooooh ok thank you so much for your care and support we really appreciate” he showed his gratitude.

“It nothing sir I guess you guys must be hungry by now, should we all go out and get something nice to eat” Lilo asked

By this time it was already very late in the evening.

“You guys can go ahead I will stay with Ella” Carlos replied

“Ok if you say so we would bring some for you and Ella am sure she would be hungry when she wakes up” Lilo said and went out with the kids. Just as there car left Jackie's car came into the hospital.

“So guys do you have any restaurant you would love us to visit” Lilo asked them.

“Hmmm I haven't been to Ella's restaurant before should we go there what do you think guys”Alex asked

“Not bad” flourish said

“Ok then let go” Lilo drove to their destination.

They arrived at the restaurant not quite long . The kids had so much fun and they all enjoyed themselves they ordered take away for Ella and Carlos as they were about leaving the restaurant Vivian noticed Lilo and came to him.

“Good evening sir, thank you for saving my friend the other day I mean Ella”

Lilo couldn't get what she was saying until she mentioned Ella's name.

“Oooh it's my pleasure nice meeting you anyways” Lilo said.

“Yes sir” she smiled back at him and proceeded with her work. Lilo and the kids walked outside and drove out of the restaurant.

They arrived at the hospital not quite long and proceeded to Ella's room. Lilo noticed Jackie car's at the front gate and went inside to confirm her presence.

“ Jackie, you here when did you get here” Lilo asked as he walked in with the children.

“Not quite long maybe like an hour ago” she replied

“Oooh we must have missed each other because we left here that exact time” he said and turned to Ella who was still fast asleep.

“ She hasn't woken up yet the drug is really working on her “ he said to Carlos who was chatting with the kids.

“Yes, you are right the doctor came here some minutes ago he said she would wake up soon”.

“Ooooh ok. Jasmine give your dad the takeaway we bought for him it quite yummy the food at the restaurant is top-notch”

After some minutes Ella gently opened her eyes and saw a group of people sitting down next to her.

“How are you feeling now my dear am so happy you are back with us” Carlos said and patted her head

“ Am feeling better now uncle I miss you so much and am sorry for bothering you with my problems” she said and managed to hug him from her bed.

“Don't say that my dear it not your fault “ he cautioned her not to say that again. When this little chemistry was going on. Jackie coughed to get their attention.

“Am sincerely sorry Ella for making you pass through this, i was the one inside the car that hitted you, it was an incident the brake wasn't working all of a sudden, before I could warn you it was too late , am so sorry” Jackie said genuinely.

“No prob I understand and your face looks familiar like I have seen this face before” she tries recollecting where she saw her face.

“Yes I came with Lilo to your restaurant some time ago” Jackie replied

“Ooooh now I get it's nice meeting you” Ella said and smiled at her.

They chatted for some time then Jackie decided to take her leave.

“ You will have to excuse me now guys , I have to be on my way” Jackie said

“Take care of yourself and thanks for the gifts miss Jackie” Carlos shows his appreciation as well as Ella and the kids. Lilo decided to walk her out.

“I thought you said you wouldn't make it here today” Jackie asked him as they walked out of the hospital.

“I said it was under possibility and fortunately I finished my work quite on time” he replied

“Oooh ok I sensed you are getting attached to her is there something I should know” she asked

“No everything is fine just felt pity for her that all” he replied and lead her to her car.

“If you say so take care of yourself” she said and gave him a light peck on the cheek. She stepped into the car and the driver drove off.

Jackie kept thinking about how Lilo kept staring at Ella with a lovely and affectionate eyes she as never seen him staring at anyone like that before not even her. She felt jealous and hurt. she as being trying every means possible for Lilo to noticed that she wants him to be more than just a friend but he isn't getting the signal at all.

“I won't allow anyone take him away from me, he is mine and mine alone” Jackie said to herself.

Lilo noticed that Jackie's mood was off somehow but he didn't get what it was all about , he waved it away and went inside the hospital.

Lilo was about entering the room when he saw Ella laughing when talking to the kids and Carlos, her smile captivated him so much that got his chest to start beating fast. He couldn't help but acknowledge how beautiful and innocent she looks.

“ What is wrong with you, why am are feeling this way” he thought and quickly entered the room.

“Am so sorry guys I have to get going now it getting late already I will see you tomorrow”Lilo said and bid them goodbye.

“Thanks for today uncle Lilo” Alex said and the twins also showed their gratitude.

“Have a good night rest sir”Ella said and smiled at him.

“Stop smiling at me it making me insane” he said to himself

“Are you talking to me sir” Ella asked

“No I said you should rest well and relax” Lilo replied she nodded her head. Carlos escorted him out of the hospital and bid him goodbye.

Lilo arrived home not quite long and went straight to his room and lied down on his bed, he was extremely tired and exhausted. Ella's face kept surfacing in his eyes and he couldn't get her voice off his head.

“Lilo get yourself together” he said hitting his head with a pillow. He kept tossing on the bed until he slept off.

Lilo opens his eyes to the morning sunlight that shined into his eyes.

He checked the time it was around 7am in the morning he quickly rushed to the bathroom , took this bath and came back to dress up he quickly head downstairs.

“Good morning my boy” Debbie hugged her son.

“Good morning mom, sorry I didn't come to see you yesterday night, I was so exhausted” he said.

“I thought so too sorry dear don't stress yourself too much at the office and your dad asked about you yesterday make sure you see him before you leave for work my dear” she said

“Ok mom” he replied. He quickly had his breakfast and went to his father's study.

“Good morning Dad” he greeted Nathan

“Why were you late yesterday you came home late “ he asked.

“ I had to rap up some work at the office” he replied.

“ How is things going between you and Jackie” he asked

“ As how dad we are fine” he replied quite confused with the question.

“Don't you think it's time for you two to get married” he asked

Lilo was quite shocked he didn't see that coming

“ Marriage! Jackie is my friend I don't even see myself getting married to her and I have lots of things to do in my life now than marriage” he responded

“Think about it and work things out , you two have being friends since you were kids so getting married shouldn't be a problem”

“Dad, because we are friends doesn't mean I can Marry her , truly I care about her but just as a friend I can't marry her”

“Get to know her more am sure you will develop feelings for her, you can leave now am busy” he said. Lilo kept fuming as he Left his study.

He arrived at the office. He was so lost in thought, Even the workers noticed he wasn't as jovial as usual.

“Man! what wrong with you I have been standing here for quite some time now and you didn't even noticed me what is eating you up bro” Antony asked as he sat down next to him.

“Am just so worry and confused. My dad is asking me to get married to Jackie” Lilo said scratching his head.

“OMG! You don't mean it but you don't like her “ Antony said

“Someone finally understood me, yes I don't love her I only care about her as a friend both of us can't be happy in the relationship and the gist I wanted to tell you about… “ Lilo said turning to him

“Yes about the pretty fairytale” Antony responded.

“I took Jackie to one of the restaurant not too far from my office and I met a girl there her name is Ella I don't know I felt connected to her,not long after that day Jackie mistakenly ran her over with her car isn't that destiny because I was shocked when I saw it was the same girl I felt connected with but thankfully she is better now but I can't stop thinking about her I don't know why am feeling this way towards her” Lilo explained to him.

“That is what we call love it means you are already in love with the girl but the situation now is complicated your dad will never allow you to marry just anyone you know that” Antony said

“I know and it quite complicated I can't stop thinking about Ella she is always in my mind I want to get to know her well” Lilo told him

“It your choice man go for what you want you are an adult so you can make your own decisions I am always with you” Antony replied

“Thanks bro who knew you can be this useful sometimes” Lilo said stunting him.

“You gat to be kidding me bro! Just admit it you can't do without me” he responded

“You are getting too full of yourself” Lilo said and they both laughed

“I really wish to see the pretty fairytale that captivated your heart” Antony said

“Don't worry you will see her very soon I have to make her fall for me as well. she looks like she is going to be a hard nut to crack.

“By the time i finish packaging you and teaching you how to go about it, she will fall on her knees and begging you to take her” Anthony bragged

“That so nice of you so when would will be starting”

“Beg me” Anthony wincked at him and walked out of the his office.

“You are such an asshole” Lilo fired at him and smiled as Ella crossed his mind.
