Not all that glitters are gold

Lilo rushed out of the house and drove to Anthony's house.

“It actually going to be tough tracking him down , an idea struck my mind just now” Lilo said putting his hand on his jaw.

“Ok what that” Anthony asked looking curious

“Am thinking we should check his background and know who we are dealing with first, am sure he as a weak point we can use that against him” Lilo suggested.

“That looks like a good idea” he replied

Lilo called Sammy his personal investigator to look into the man's identity.

Few hours later Sammy sent a file containing everything about the man to Lilo.

Lilo and Anthony studied the file.

“Ok his name is Jericho Miguel, he is a from a family of six, I think his father works for posh oil company when he was still alive” Anthony read out the file

“Posh oil hmmmm his father will worked at the company, so why did he wants to kill his father boss , I don't dont get , see this is what we would do , search for his family's address am sure it's written there, we have to bring him down” Lilo said

“They live in begium, that is a remote area, it quite far from here”Anthony said

“Am going to book a flight there tomorrow morning please take care of everything at the office and please cover up for me my parents shouldn't know about this”Lilo said

“I got you bro and please be very careful this guy is quite dangerous” he showed his concern

“Thanks man”Lilo said and they both hugged each other

“s**t! I forgot I was suppose to pick Ella from the hospital today”Lilo said and quickly stood up and checked the wrist watch

“Gush! It's 12noon already I have to go now , take care of yourself and please one more thing take care of Ella for me I would give her your number in case she needs anything” Lilo said and rushed out of the house.

Lilo got to the hospital not quite long and rushed to Ella's room

“Thank God you are still here” Lilo said patting

Jasmine walked towards him and gave him water to drink.

“Uncle Lilo why you patting so much , we aren't going yet my Dad isn't here yet so we are waiting for him” Jasmine said”

“Sir i told you not to stress yourself to come here” Ella said

“It not a big deal do you have your uncle's number I could call him to ask him if I should take you home” he said

Ella wanted to decline his offer but Flourish quickly called the number before she could decline.

“Flourish why did you do that” she asked her quietly”

“It for the best dear” Flourish whispered to her ears

“Good day sir, am at the hospital right now can I take Ella home”he asked

“I will be thankful if you could they haven't released me at the factory I don't think am coming anytime soon”Carlos replied

“Ok sir” Lilo said and hanged up

“He said I should take you guys home let me help you with that” Lilo said and carried the bags on the bed.

“Ella let go and stop behaving like that”Alex whispered to her and held her hand out of the room.

They all got to the car and Lilo drove off. They arrived not quite long and Lilo helped with the bags to the house.

“Thank you so much mr Lilo i really appreciate” Ella showed her gratitude.

“No problem, have this card, it's my friend number if you need anything you can call him” Lilo hand her the card.

“Sir Lilo,I really appreciate but are you going somewhere why are you giving me his card”she asked

“Yes I won't be around for some days so you can contact him if you need anything” he said

“Ooooh save journey”Ella wished him good luck.

“I have to go now am so sorry I have something very important to attend to” he said and decide to take his leave

“Take care uncle Lilo and please don't tell your scary friend my sister is at home I don't want her around my sister”Alex whispered into ears and Lilo playful nodded and went out of the house.

Jackie POV

“Hello boss ,sir Lilo just carried her to her house and he just left now” he reported

“Hmmm ok i told you to check the lowlife background any update on that” she asked

“Yes boss,she is from a wealthy background but unfortunately she lost her parents not quite long, she as a younger brother and I from my research she is staying with a man named Carlos and she is currently working in a restaurant before her accident” he reported

“I know she is working at a restaurant, it's not new again i know what to do now I will send her stupid ass back to where itsy coming from , let see how she copes without her job and I have to tell Dad to talk some sense into Lilo to marry me, he only belongs to me” she smirked.

Lilo POV

“Hello pls book a 8am flight to begium for me” he said to someone on the phone and ended the call.

He got home and met his dad waiting for him in the sitting room.

“Good evening dad” he greeted

“How was your day” he asked

“Fine dad I hope all is well” he asked finding his father's presence suspicious

“Follow me to my study I have something to discuss with you” he walked to his study and Lilo followed behind wondering what all this was all about.

“Lilo I told you to give a thought to your marriage to Jackie so what your thought?” he asked

“Dad I still maintain my stand that I can't marry her, I don't love her enough to marry her” he said bluntly

“Do you think am joking right here, whether you like it or not you are going to get marry to her and that final” he said and asked him to leave his front.

“That would not happen” he said annoyingly and left the room.

He banged into his room and sat on the bed

“This is not going to happen, I won't let you dictate my life again I don't love Jackie my heart belongs somewhere else I love Ella so much I don't know how I could fall in love with her so deeply just in a few weeks but I love her so much and I will do everything to protect her” he thought.he slept angrily after on.

Next day

Lilo woked up very early, dressed up and went to greet his mother because he couldn't greet her yesterday because her husband spoiled his mood yesterday.he left for the airport after on.

He arrived at begium few hours later and booked a room at a hotel to prepare himself for his search.

He got to the hotel and relax for a bit he took his laptop and search for the address they leave in a very remote area from the area he is seeing in his laptop.

“I will make sure I get to the root of this matter Ella wait for me” he said and took his jacket from the chair and head out of the hotel.

He got there not quite long and held to the house. He saw a old woman sitting at the front of the house and decided to get some information from her.

“Good afternoon ma” he greeted

“What can I do for you and I haven't seen this face before who are you”she asked looking at him suspiciously.

“Ooh that true ma just looking for my old friend I missed his contact sometime ago and I was told he lives here” Lilo said

“Your friend what is his name” she asked

“Jericho Miguel that is his name do you by any chance know him” Lilo asked

“He is my grandson and he doesn't stay here anymore he now stays in manila”she said

“Ooh , grandma , do you by any chance knows where be he staying” he asked

“I don't know what I know is that he is working for one company like that named Manfred I think that the name of the company” she said

“Manfred I haven't heard of that before i think this is a very big clue that would lead me to him” Lilo thought

“Thank you very much ma” he said and bid her goodbye

He entered his car and called Anthony to explain everything to him.

“This is the beginning of the adventure I must know your parents killer” Lilo thought and drove off.
