Devon's POV
Vicki left town for a while, and before she left, she told me to watch out for Hannah and reminded me to keep an eye on the other supernatural beings in town, especially the vampire named Ian.
I assured Vicki that I would take care of Hannah until she returned. As a nanny and bouncer, I needed to personally take Hannah to school.
But we had a bit of an unpleasant incident in the car, and she wanted an answer about the fact that I kissed her that night. I've been dodging her questions.
What could I say to her? Could I tell her that I was really a werewolf with a bad fate, that I liked her but that we were not meant to be together or she would meet her doom?
Oh, forget it! Instead of being honest with her, I should have just done it.
