Chapter Two

It had been weeks since he had been on the road. Trying to find a place to settle down in with what inheritance he had gotten from his father passing away. The locals from his home town in Virgina had favored his cousin to be the next king and he had no energy to fight it. He took the money that was given to him and he left to make his own home. He had enough money to live 3 lifetimes over if he had wished. His stomach let out a growl to let him know he was hungry. He hadn't eaten because he was so focused on finding a spot to stop and call home. He pulled off of an exit showing there to be a small town with food and bed. Twenty minutes passed when he saw a small strip and restaurant bar come into veiw. He pulled into the parking lot and stepped outta the car and Jack walked into the homely looking bar in this little run down town. He needed to stop to rest for a little while. The little town seemed to be the place to do so for a bit. This Gold River Valley. As he walked into the little bar he spotted one of the employees in trouble. He heard her telling this man no even over all this loud music and talking. Letting out a small growl he made his way to the table to help this employee. As he approached the struggling employee. His breath hitched a little bit she was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. Her silver blonde hair thrown up in a ponytail her eyes close to a sliver color. Her skin fair almost like milk. He didn't let how stunned he was by her show. " Sir I believe the young lady told you to unhand her." I let out with a slight burst of annoyance. I reached down and gripped the man's finger tightly. " Sir if I ever see you disrespect a girl like that ever again it won't be your fingers hurting." I said with a dangerous tone. Turning around I nodded to the girl and walked away. I quickly went to the bars stool table and ordered what I needed. "Jerry. I need 2 bottles of Burboun brought to my booth and then later when I buzz the food for us all. You know what we like. Also that gorl with the platnum blonde hair. She is to be my waitress for the rest of her shift." I said and walked away to my booth after he nodded. As I reached my booth I took a small look at the girl who was talking to Jerry. My heart skipped a beat before I disappeared behhind the curtian. " Eh Jack finally" both James and Arrin chimed together. " Sorry fellas I was saving a damsel." I Joked. Not after that statement I heard a small noise and opened the curtian for the waitress. She set the tray down on the table and opened the first bottle of burboun. Sje began to pour the liquid into the crystal glassed cups. " To not be strangers I am Jack Gould. This is James." I did and pointed to the man in the far corner of the booth opposite of me. James was average height with sandy blonde hair and brown eyes. "This one is Arrin" I pointed to the second one beside James. Arrin was average height as well but he had dark brown hair and hazel eyes. " And you are Ziya" I asked as I read her name tag. I could see her cheeks blush a light pink before she replied with " Yes but my name is Ziyalei. People just call me Ziya for short." she explained as she finished pouring the drinks and handing them to each of. As she handed my glass to me our fingers touched and I felt a small little tingle shoot through my body like I never felt before. I quickly pulled my hand away and took a sip of my drink. My stomach growled again and I cleared my throat to speak. Before I could ask her to push the button on the wall she pushed it to let Jerry know we were hungry. A sound came through in abrupt sort noises to indicate the food was ready. She left and returned with a tray of food for us to eat. she stepped outside the curtian to give us our privacy. James. Arrin and I talked about what to do next. " I think we should look for rooms for the night. " I suggested after I swallowed my last bite of food. " I thought I saw a hotel3 miles back from this place." I pointed out. " Seems like a good idea. This town seems quite enough to make a home. maybe tomorrow we should look for places with a realtor." Arrin suggested to Jack. Jack gave a nod of agreement before taking a wad of bills out to pay for the meal and tip. All three men stood up and walked out the curtian. Jack accidentally bumped into Ziya. " My bad." he mumbled. " it was great meeting you Jack climbed in his car and headed back towards the hotel. He pulled into the parking lot and climbe out his car and headed into the hotel to get rooms. " I need 3 rooms" he told the desk clerk who just nodded and ha ded him keys to rooms. The desk clerk took a note board and checked off the boxes of room numbers and wrote down names. Je then put the note board down and picked up his book. Jack went to move and as he did the news paper caught his eye. Just on the outskirts of town there was a home for sale that caught his eye.
