Wolf Hunters

1008 Words
Trevor's POV I ran back to my hotel and got to my room as quickly as I could without using my speed. I was the fastest in our pack, a gift from The Goddess she bestowed to me. That's why our Alpha sent me to find the missing she-wolf, and now I completely abandoned my mission. I got back to my hotel room and immediately began to relieve myself. Replaying the image of Trixies naked body over and over again. Imagining she was here with me, taunting and teasing me. I am unable to feel her skin against mine yet. I cried out her name once I finally hit my climax. I was relieved for now, but I wouldn't be fully until I had her underneath me or on top of me. I cleaned myself off and fixed myself as my phone began ringing. It was the Alphas Beta, Harry calling me. He wants an update on the she wolf. I cursed under my breath before answering. "Hey, Harry." I stated calmy "Trevor, I'm just looking for an update for Alpha Avery?" Harry asked He didn't seem to worry. He probably didn't think I had fallen off of my task. I was very loyal to our Alpha as a warrior to him. I would sacrifice my life to protect him if I had to. I felt guilty about watching Trixie more than I was searching for the missing she-wolf. I ran my hand through my hair, trying to word this properly. "I know, I haven't spotted her yet, but there is something else I'm dealing with to." Pausing for a moment before finishing."I seemed to have found my mate." Harry chuckled on the other end "Ah so you've been too busy in the hotel room?" He asked "Well, no, she's human. She doesn't know I exist or can even know I'm her mate." I told him a bit frustrated by it all. Wolves could smell their mates and can fall for the other on quickly. Now humans couldn't smell their mate. They just had to guess. So when a wolf is mated to a human, it becomes frustrating. Half the time, the Wolves end up looking crazy their human mate. "Well, the full moon is in a few days, luckily." Harry stated on the other end Confused what he meant, I asked, "What does the full moon half to do with a human?" Harry sounded surprised. "You never learned about that?" He asked but continued speaking."If a wolf is mated to a human, during the full moon is when a human can find themselves drawn to their mate. It usually causes mischief and fights among the human, their tends to be more injury and fights during the full moon. They don't seem to handle it well at all." Relieved by what Harry told me, it gave me some hope. Made me feel I would have a chance if I stuck around Trixie during the full moon. As long as her husband wasn't around by then, it should be easy enough. Which reminded me that I recognized her husband's face in their wedding photo. "Harry, would you mind looking someone up in our database? I can't do it away from the pack." I asked "Sure thing. What's the name?" he asked "Bradley Lambert." I told him "Wait." Harry said,"Lambert? Why?" "I think he's married to my mate. I saw his picture in her place, and I recognized the face. I just don't remember where." Harry was silent for a moment before sighing. "The Lamberts are a known group of wolf hunters in the area. Their whole bloodline is a threat to out kind." I was silent in disbelief, waiting for him to finish. "Well, Brad Lambert was the leader of those hunters Trevor. When we were attacked a few months ago, Bradley led the hunters into our pack. He's dead." Harry stated Trixies husband was dead, and we had killed him off. Him and his group of people. Only a few knew of our kind and were against us. Once in every 50 years or so, humans try to attack us. I think they'll be faster with their silver than we are with our claws. "We killed my mates husband?" I asked, needing to hear it again. "Yes, we did," Harry sighed. "Bradley was torn in 2 by the Alpha himself in front of the pack. How did you not recognize the last name?" I cringed a bit when I remembered that moment. That's why I knew his face from the photo. Trixies dead husband was a wolf hunter. I couldn't help but wonder if she knew or if she was one too. She was a Lambert, which was a huge threat to my pack. I dont know how I didn't recognize the last name Lambert. Duke snarled in my mind for having a thought about Trixie being a hunter. But if she was a hunter, we would have to reject her. It'd be too dangerous to bring her into the pack. She could slay Alpha Avery if she lived inside the pack house with me. "Thank you, Henry. I keep my eye open for the rouge." I told him before hanging up the phone. Running a hand through my hair in disbelief at what I've just been told by Henry. It was obvious I was going to have to get to know Trixie more before I even thought about mating with her. Maybe that's why she glared at me in the parking lot. Maybe she knew what I was that day. Duke whimpered sadly in my head at the thought of our mate hating our kind. We waited so long to find her and now we have to wait some more. All I know is I needed to be near her again, I'm sure she worked at the mall. I'll go there first to see what store she's in. I just need a glimpse of her, and maybe I could try to get some alone time with her.
