Chapter One, part Two: " Birthmarks bring a pop of individuality to our bodies. They make us stand out, makes us different from the rest. The key to birthmarks and moles isn't hiding them, it's owning them." - anonymous   ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️ Aubrey Snow's P.O.V. My mind was slowly functioning on what happened yesterday, the chase, the Devious, my almost death, and the people who saved me. I felt dizzy, when I tried to get up. I closed my eyes again. My mouth felt dry, I looked at my left arm that was wrapped in a gauze, a blue cloth was hanging from my neck to support it. I looked around, there is no one in the huge room but me. The high walls were decorated with old carvings, the tall windows are half covered with red thick curtains, letting some light in. The other beds around me are empty, all are white, and a single bed side table is put beside each one, with a basket of medicine and other first-aid kits. I removed the blanket over me and saw that my legs are badly injured. Even my abdomen is wrapped up with the gauze. Every single muscle hurts. I slowly turned to my right and reached for the glass of water. " You're awake," I stopped drinking and looked around. I found a man standing at the entrance of the room, his tall frame resting on the door frame. He was the one who saved me, the one with the eyes covered with black cloth. " Y-Yes," I croaked. I stopped drinking and put down the glass of water to look at him. He walked towards me and pulled a chair beside my bed. I wonder if he can see me with the cloth on. I can't even read his expression. " I'm glad that you're finally back," He whispered, he stood up and turned his back to me. He walked away and stopped by the entrance, he looked back at me. " I can see you, if that's you're worried about." I'm not worried! Wait, how did he know?! I opened my mouth to speak but he was already gone. A woman in her 20's came rushing in, I assume she's a doctor here or something because of her white lab coat and a stethoscope that was hanging around her neck. She checked my pulse and my heartbeat rate before helping me seat up properly. " I'm Doctor Airalynne Martin, I'm the one who did tests on you, for now, you need rest. Lady Arth will accompany you to your room now." She stood up and smiled. Before leaving she pulled something from her lab pocket, she gave me a lollipop. For once, I smiled a bit. " Strawberry flavored lollipop for a pretty girl." She smiled and left. I reached for the wheelchair at my side, I helped myself up. Grabbing the wheels, I wheeled myself out of the room. Since the hallway is deserted, I wheeled myself at the only way out. People started looking at my direction, wondering who's the new girl in this place. They were all wearing fancy uniforms. I didn't mind them and wheeled myself out of the building, after a few turns I found myself in the garden. It was beautiful and relaxing, with the shade of trees covering me, I felt relaxed. It all felt like a fairytale. " You used to love this place," I looked around and saw no one. Am I being hunted by ghosts now? I shook my head and looked above me, it's the guy earlier again. I crunched up my nose and rolled out to see him in a better view. He was sitting on the thick branch of the tree above me. " Never been here before," I replied with a confused face. People gazed at our direction and started whispering. I looked like the ugly girl talking to the most famous guy in the school. " Hmmm, I see." He mumbled. He suddenly disappeared before my eyes. I rubbed my eyes to prove I'm wrong, but hell. He did disappear into thin air. " You're mistaken. I haven't been here all my life," I answered back. Where the heck is he? I looked insane talking to no one. " But you're here now." A voice whispered behind me. He took hold of my wheelchair and pushed me away from the tree. All the girls glared at me and some look like they're fantasizing to be pushed around in a wheelchair by this dashing-looking-prince. " Where might be Professor Arth? Hmmn," Professor? Now who am I searching for again? This man is showing me kindness and it really feels weird! Feels like I knew him all along! " Uhm, I'm looking for Julie Knight." I told him. He gave out a hearty laugh, did I say something ridiculous? " What a ridiculous name she chose." He continued to laugh. I bit my lip in annoyance and kept unnecessary words to myself. I'm still wondering how he can see with those covered eyes, is he blind and chose to hide it or what? " First of all, I'm not blind— " He spoke. How did he— he read my mind twice now! Who the hell is this man? " I'm a creature you won't ever accept." He told me. I tried to look at him but he was focused on our way. His face was emotionless, maybe because half of his face is covered but if the cloth is gone... maybe I would know what he's thinking. " Getting close this soon, hmm?" A womanly voice came behind me. I turned around and saw Julie Knight, wearing a blue turtle neck top that is tucked in her black fitted pencil skirt, she clanked her black stilettos. She crossed her arms over her chest and raised an eyebrow at us. " Ah, Professor Arth. I just gave darling-in-a-wheelchair a short tour." The guy greeted Julie with a smile, showing his perfect set of white teeth. I swear I saw fangs. " Don't joke around Mr. Ravensheart! You have class and yet you're flirting with my niece! Now shoo away!" She shooed him away and he left chuckling, he looked at me before disappearing. I looked at Julie in confusion. He's a student of my aunt? " I know, I will explain later at the Admission Building." She motioned me to follow her. I struggled with my wheelchair, and tried to keep the pace with her. We exited the main hall, the brick path was covered with pink petals, it looked like a path of Cherry Blossoms in Japan. " Cherry Blossoms, we grow it here in all seasons." She glanced at me, her back still facing me. All seasons? It can only bloom during spring in Japan. I nodded, greatly astonished. I had to admit, this new school is a bit extravagant, wherever I look, diamond chandeliers were hanging from the painted ceilings of the corridors, the high sculpted columns, the carpeted floors(I wonder how many staffs they need to vacuum the carpets), the fine made uniforms of the students,  everything screams wealth and power in this place. And I felt small because I am a nobody here! " We're here." We stopped in front of a huge victorian building, it was painted maroon and white, and two tall guys were guarding the entrance. They both looked at me, their stares were intimidating, I just want the Earth to swallow me whole right now. Julie looked at them, and they immediately opened the huge doors. Only to be welcomed by a cold breeze of air. " Hmmm, she's not in the mood again isn't she?" She asked when an old man approached her and took her coat. " Yes, my Lady. Come," I assume he was the butler of the Headmistress. The interior of the Admission Building looked like a million dollar home. There were maids in maroon and gold uniforms! I looked up at the high painted ceilings of the hall. A huge diamond chandelier was hanging from the ceiling, with gold carvings around it. Framed pictures of the past Headmasters and Headmistresses were aligned and hanged perfectly around the walls. The woman at the end-----was or the latest----- Headmistress. And she was the second woman, to be a powerful leader of this huge school must be a huge duty to have. We stopped in front of double doors. The butler was about to turn the gold doorknobs when it flew open, revealing a red headed woman. She looked like Julie, I was confused. I looked back and forth at Julie and the Headmistress. They looked so much alike! " WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONGGGG?!" She screamed, and the whole place shooked a little. Literally SHOOKED, the diamond chandelier above us moved a bit. What the hell just happened?  The force of her scream scared my soul like an earthquake happening. " Ohh Arianna and her moodswings, she probably needs a guy to tame her." Julie laughed, that angered the Headmistress more. I smiled awkwardly at them and adjusted in my wheelchair. " Hmp! At least my niece is here now, all grown up and pretty!" She looked at me, from head to toe. She smiled and pulled me. Her face showed happiness, no hint of fakeness. She pursed her lips and held my hands tight, tears starting to form in her eyes. " Wait—niece? Who, me?" I asked, completely confused. It was hard to move, because of my state right now. The Headmistress stood in front of me, her face looking down at me with piercing eyes. She raised her right hand over my forehead, and a light came from her very palm, it covered me like wildfire. The slight pain I'm feeling vanished immediately, and I was able to move my legs and arms freely. I stood up, shocked and eyes wide. This cannot be, how did she— She stood, her hair slightly glowing into a bright red shade, her eyes gleaming with power. " What you just witnessed, is a Healing Magic. It's one of my specialties, and Healing Magic is only a start of your training. You will witness magic in different forms, aspects and type." She took some books from the shelves and put in on the table in front of me, I grabbed one and read the title on its leather cover, ' Book of Magic ', it says. Julie eyed me as I flipped on to the first page. Oh, this books seems to be centuries old because of the chapped yellowish pages. " Read those so you will have knowledge already before classes starts, and I have your, uhm, schedule for your first semester here," I closed the book, she handed me my schedule. Oh. I suppose everything here is gold. They love gold. I frowned to see that even the ink they use is gold, I would likely kiss my purse goodbye if the food in their canteen is worth a fortune! " Call me Aunt Arianna, if we're all alone, I don't want the whole student population to think I have favoritism just because I let you call me that, so outside those doors, plainly call me Headmistress to avoid unnecessary rumors, okay?" She smiled. She sat back on her seat, checking one of the papers on her left. Admission papers huh? I nodded back and took the books she gave me, I might as well read these to educate myself. " Let's go. I'll hand you your Academy Paper later." Julie said. I awkwardly stood up and followed her outside, leaving the Headmistress alone in the room. I stared at my schedule. Never knowing that something this real will happen to me. " What's the purpose of the Academy Paper?" I asked her. We passed by a group of students who were checking their schedules at the counter, and the butler earlier. He half smiled at me and bowed. Weird. " You need it when you go to the Academy Parlor, you'll show the seamstress your Paper, then she'll sign it and then measure your body for your uniform." My mouth formed a big O. This academy is freaking luxurious! I can't stop my eyes from wandering around, every corner is extraordinary. Note that, every student is just perfect. I can't believe my eyes on this one. " Surprised that much?" Julie patted my shoulder and smiled. So.. Should I start calling her Arth?I smiled awkwardly, I'm very much surprised until now. " Super." I grinned. Some students are looking at me like they know me, well maybe not. She laughed and continued to walk down the brick path, there are other shops you can actually go to here, with tall lamp posts to lighten the way at night. " Your Grace, the Headmistress calls for you again." The butler appeared out of nowhere, I shrieked immediately. I'm still not used to this, and I don't think I will ever be! " Why all of a sudden?" Julie asked with a raised brow. I looked at the butler, he gave me a short glance before returning to Julie. " The Headmistress said she forgot something to tell you and Miss Stanford, " Julie nodded and took my hand. This seems important, I shook my head and followed her back. We went inside the Headmistress' office. She was there, sitting on her leather swiveling chair, reading some papers I think. " May I see the mark? " She spoke. My eyes flew to Julie who looked at me, her mouth opened but no words left her mouth. The Headmistress stood from her chair and went to me. Her right hand touched my right shoulder and pulled the sleeves down. Revealing my birthmark. It was a shape of a crown.Nothing special about it, tho. It was weird to have a birthmark like that. " Hmm..." She pulled it up then turned her back to me. What's with the birthmark? " You will discover something in your past as you stay here, Aubreianna." Aubreianna? She must have called me wrong. Her hand circled in the wind and a piece of paper appeared. " Call Tiffany Bianca Andersen here in my office." As she spoke those words, the words were being written in the paper! I kept my mouth from gaping. Moments later and a knock came from the door. " Headmistress? May I come in?" A voice. This must be Miss Tiffany Bianca. The door immediately flew opened and the woman came in. Silver hair, and violet eyes. Wow, people here really have colorful lifestyles. " Miss Aubrey Stanford here is new, and she will be your roommate from now on. Do you mind taking her to your assigned room?" Tiffany looked at me and she was a bit shocked when she saw me. I tried to smile but she avoided my gaze and nodded at the Headmistress instead. " See you around, Miss Stanford. " I smiled and bowed my head a little. Tiffany gestured me to follow her, so I did. But before the door closes, I heard the Headmistress. " Keep an eye on her, Arth. She's still new and she doesn't remember  anything." What can't I remember? ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️ Author's Note: HERE IS THE CHAPTER ONE PART TWOOO!!!! I hope you will enjoy this episode, feel free to comment down below!
