"Let's see if Capital City money spends the same down here," Diana muttered. She swiped the card through the reader. The machine processed for a single, quiet second. Then, a harsh, flat electronic beep echoed through the empty dining room. The small screen flashed bright red. DECLINED. The young girl didn't scream. She didn't throw a fit. She just frowned.
