Chapter Twenty-One Confession She was first aware of the fact that it was daytime by the warmth of sunshine on her arms lying by her sides. A soft beep behind her, coupled with the distinctive smell of alcohol, told her she was in a hospital. She didn’t know where, or how she ended up here, but the realization comforted her.
