LIAM JR. We were plunged into a darkness so black that I could no longer tell up from down. I called out for Willow, but no sound came out. The darkness seemed to suck in all senses from the room. I started to panic. Panic turned to rage. Rage turned into Connor. Without thinking, I shifted as he took over. My senses shifted, and although it was still incredibly dark, I could see Willow faintly. The magic must not have been as effective against a wolf. I brushed against her, and she gripped me like I’d thrown her a raft in the middle of the ocean. Looking around, I could see the dim outline of a door, and I led us to it. Given my lack of hands, I nudged Willow’s hand until she found it and opened it for us. As soon as it opened, the darkness vanished. Behind us was another empty floor
