There are a few different schools of thought on fate in my world. Traditionalists believe wholeheartedly in the Moon Goddess’s wisdom, assuming that she has some greater plan in mind for us and that we should follow the path she lays before us, namely our mates.
Others disagree with those sentiments. Not everyone in the world is kind or even possesses basic decency. Plenty of those people mistreat the people they are supposed to love and protect. People who disagree with the traditionalist mindset think that the Moon Goddess may not be as all-knowing as we hope her to be, leaving her to make mistakes.
Some people don’t prescribe to the Goddess having any control over fate or a grander plan at all. They aren’t even sure there is a Moon Goddess.
