We trailed the passage like ants, till we got to our chamber, and each of us moved to our rooms. All the maids here have a room with their names embedded on the door. Mine was like that, too.
I didn’t lock my door when I made into my room, but I did the good of shutting it. I knew that Mara would soon visit like she did the other time.
I made to the wardrobe, and there, I took off my cloth and searched my bag to select a cloth to wear, having been notified by the big maid that our duty was over.
I chose a gown, a light one that I usually wear at night without putting on my undies. I always loved the freedom of sleeping without my undies on, or even walking naked in my room, but I have not done it for quite a long time.
But I wouldn’t do that without first taking a warm bath.
