CHAPTER 39 Jason heard the ringtone go off on his phone as he stirred. He and Alyssa had passed out in bed after their lovemaking in the shower. He reached over to the counter wiping his eyes, looking at the number before he answered. “Janet?” “My god. Jason, where have you been? I’ve been calling you since yesterday.” Jason tried to force his brain to work as Janet began talking fast. “Wait Janet calm down. What happened?” “The police are looking for you. There has been another murder. Tracy was found dead in a lake yesterday.” Jason dropped the phone causing Alyssa to wake. He cursed. “What happened?” She asked sleepily.
