Victoria's POV Raquel stepped in close before I could steady myself. Her arm slid around me as if she meant to support me, guiding my weight so I would not fall again. From a distance, anyone would have thought she was helping. Her face even carried that soft, shaken expression that made her look like she was barely holding back tears. But I could feel the truth of it. I tried to pull my arm away, but her grip did not loosen. It stayed firm, controlled, disguised as care. No matter how I shifted, she kept me right where she wanted me. Then she spoke again, her voice gentle, almost apologetic. “Let’s go downstairs and let the pack doctor check your injuries.
