"Damn. You look like shit." Charlie stated as he saw Alex meeting him in the morning for breakfast since he just came from a vacation. "What the hell happened to you?" He asked with his brows raised. "You look so tired. Do you know the word 'sleep'?" He added. 

"Oh... Uh, I'm just really busy, you know. A lot of workings to do." Alex answered as he drinks his orange juice. 

"Dude, are you sure you're okay? You should take a rest if you're tired, you know." Charlie asked once again. 

"Don't worry about me. I'm fine. Anyways, how's your trip? Tell me all the details." Alex smiled as he changes the subject.

"I should have brought you there, Alex! It's really amazing!" Charlie said happily. 

Alex nodded and smiles as his best friend Charlie kept on telling him all the details about his international vacation. He's really excited to hear all about what Charlie did during his trip. Charlie kept on telling stories when Alex lost his thoughts and attention to his best friend and suddenly the scene that happened last night appeared. 

"Hey! Alex! Are you still listening?" Charlie asked when he noticed that Alex was not in his self. 

"uh... yes. Of course. Keep going." Alex flinched and tried to smile.

"Okay. What did I just say again a while ago?" 

"Uhm..." 

"Okay. That's what I thought." Charlie nod and continue to eat his breakfast and sips some coffee.

"I'm sorry, Charlie. I just uh... I'm sorry. I'm not feeling well." He lied trying to smile in front of his best friend. 

"Tsk. Alex, You could have told me that you're not feeling well. We could have breakfast on some other day. You should prioritize yourself more than me." Charlie said with a worried tone. 

"No, Charlie. I just miss you. I want to see you soonest. I want to hear what you did on your vacation, maybe we can have a massive vacation too." Alex smiled.

"Okay, I truly appreciate that but please, take care of yourself, yeah?" Charlie smiled and Alex nodded. 

The two continued their breakfast and enjoy their moment together. Charlie will not stay long since he had work to do and so Alex is. After hours of spending time together, Charlie waved goodbye at Alex as he hopped on the cab. He smiled and waved back. He entered the building and went straight to the office but as soon as he arrives, he heard that Austin and Olivia are having a hard time. They're arguing about something and Austin keeps on destroying things in front of her. while Olivia just stood there looking so guilty and in pain. Alex doesn't want to eavesdrop since it is their fiance's argument. So he went to the rooftop to give the couple some time. 

He just sat on the rooftop while looking at the beautiful city. It's good that not all employees are here to spend their vacant time. The rooftop is not crowded like he expects it to be.  "So peaceful." He mumbles.

"Yes, peaceful it is." He startles and turned himself back when someone spoke. He smiled when he knew who it is. 

"What are you doing up here?" Daniel asked. 

"Need some air. What about you?" He asked. 

"I want to be alone." He replied. 

"Oh sorry to bother you. I promise I'm leaving." He said as he walks away. 

"Chill. It's not like I don't want you here. Your timing is perfect. I just a friend today." Daniel said as he put his hands in his pocket.

"Why? What happened?" Alex asked as he sat beside Daniel on the bench.

"My boyfriend and I had a fight." He said.

"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that. But, may I know why? Uh... I'm sorry. I shouldn't invade your privacy." Alex said as he bit his lower lip and looked down.

Daniel chuckled and smack his nape, "Why do you always keep on saying sorry? You don't have to be sorry. Plus, I'm glad that you're interested in my boring s**t life. But no worries, it's just a couple of arguments, it will only take an hour for us to make out again. " He smiled.

"Ow. That hurts. Thanks" Alex laughed as he put his hand on his nape. Daniel looked at him and raised his eyebrow when he saw Alex's neck full of reddish marks.

"Anyway, what happened to your neck? Bug bites?" He asked with a furrowed brows.

"Huh? Uhm... N-nothing." Alex is shocked as he immediately covers it with his hand and fixes his collar so that Daniel won't see it again.

"Did something happened to you? You can tell me," Daniel tapped his shoulder with a worried tone.

"Thank you for being my friend, Daniel. But I'm really fine. Uhm, I'm just tired. I haven't slept last night because I had a movie night. I enjoyed the series that I'm watching and didn't bother the time that it is already around two in the morning." He smiled.

Daniel then smiled back when the two got interrupted because of a phone call. It's Alex's phone.

"Oh, God. My boss is calling. I have to get back. Bye Danny! See you around." Alex said as he immediately stood up and ran back to the office. Daniel waved goodbye in confusion but Alex didn't see him because he left already.

"What the hell is wrong with him? He looked sick." Daniel mumbled and get his phone to call someone.

"Hey, Charlie? Are you sure your best friend Alex is okay? He looks so pale." He said.

"I know. But can you keep an eye on him for me? I'm worried sick." He said from the other line.

"I will. I'll call you back if something happens."

"Thanks, Dan. You're the best."

The call ended and Daniel returned his phone to his pocket.

"Are you really sure that your boss has nothing to do with what the hell is happening to you, huh Alex?" Daniel mumbled again in confusion.
