Chapter 10
His Scars
Jace looked like a scared puppy while staring outside. He looked like he wanted to run back inside his room. I took a step forward to where he was standing but he took a step back. My eyebrows creased when he did that.
“What are you waiting for?” I put my hands on my hips and raise my eyebrows at him. We’ve been standing here for several minutes already but he still didn’t take a step forward.
He sighed and shook his head. “N-nothing,” he answered and frowned deeply.
“Then come on,” I said and held out my hand but he just looked at it. I’ve waited for several minutes but he kept staring at my hands.
He finally looked away and turned around, letting me face his broad back, and images of his deep scars flashed in my mind again.
