Prometheus meets the Australopethecines

1538 Words

Prometheus meets the Australopethecines It was just one such group of Australopithecines that Prometheus would follow during that period, about 3.2 million years ago. Undoubtedly, man’s ancestors at that time, lived more like present-day savannah baboons, despite the fact of course that they were more evolved and humanlike in their manners. Those troops would hardly exceed twenty individuals each. Indeed, Prometheus would follow a troop consisting of ten individuals, with the adult females making up the main bulk of the group with their young ones. The troop consisted of two males, five females, two of whom seemed to be pregnant, and three adolescents in various ages. It was a group of genus Australopithecines and genus Australopithecus afarensis, with clearly apparent gender dimorphism.
