Prometheus meets Homo erectus
The itinerant Prometheus, full of overflowing love and altruism, would contribute to the much promising species, Homo erectus. The philanthropic titan would continue providing protection for his beloved species, on which he had entrusted all his hopes and expectations for the eventual advent of that wise and prudent species, through which nature would self-actualize and acquire knowledge of kind.
So, about 1.8 million years ago, Prometheus would make contact with the first Homo erectus in Africa, right at the point of the transmutation of a group of Homo habilis into Homo erectus.
