Zayne’s POV The city was too big. Usually, I liked the sprawl of it, the tall buildings, the neon lights, the way the streets looked like veins from the window of my penthouse. But right now, every alleyway looked like a trap and every shadow looked like a hiding spot I need not over look. I was driving my black SUV like a man possessed. Beside me, the GPS was glowing, showing the locations of my security teams as they fanned out through the warehouse district Chris had just described. "Find her," I growled into the headset. My voice sounded like gravel hitting a tin roof. "Check every basement. Every abandoned loading dock. If you see a girl who looks like she’s trying to disappear into the bricks, that’s her." My wolf was doing laps in my head. He was pacing and snapping at the air.
