Lily's POV
The sudden shock that came with the news sent me gripping the support iron bars around the bed.
"What?!" I whispered in disbelief.
My heart raced like it was in hot pursuit, adrenaline coursing through my veins in wave after wave. My eyes were fixated on the doctor as he continued to read off the test results, but my thoughts were far, far away from this room.
Almost convulsively, my hand jumped to my tummy, and I gripped it for dear life, as the impact of the news came crashing down on me.
I cannot carry a child to term...
