Sky’s POV I awoke suddenly, disoriented. The soft, enveloping comfort I felt was entirely wrong. My intended destination had been the private room across the hall, the one with the soft bed and the promise of three hours of sleep. Instead, I was still in the main living area of the suite. My head rested against the plush velvet armrest of one of the large, expensive couches. The light was still low, but brighter than before, indicating the sun must have risen behind the heavy drapes. The scent of strong, cold coffee hung in the air, a testament to the night’s work. My body felt heavy, completely drained.
