Chapter two

After Mandy ended the call with Clara she had a plan. She needed to talk to Isabella and hopefully, she can this weekend for she doesn't want to discuss anything over the phone.

She just has to wait for Isabella to call tomorrow and get this plan rolling the sooner she gets out of there the better.

Isabella quickly hung the phone up when she heard the door open. She looked at the time seeing it was after five and her heart sank she moved fast to the oven pulled the chicken out went to grab a bowl for the potatoes when she heard him call her name.

He walks into the kitchen.

"Why is it that my dinner is not on the table..." She turns and looks at him. He's standing there with that look on his face. She back away

"I'm sorry I was taking a call from Mandy, She was just letting me know how duke was doing. I'll have it out in five minutes."

He huffed

"So you take a call and forget to finish my dinner!"

He starts to walk towards her she starts to panic stepping back.

"No no, I didn't forget it was done I just needed five more minutes please!"

Her back hits the counter and she has no place to go he steps in front of her she looks down at the floor not meeting his gaze... She can feel his breaths as she waits. He just makes a Tks noise as he leans in.

"Look at me, " He says she takes a gulp and looks up her hands are shaking.

"You say you were talking to Mandy, huh and I'm to believe that maybe you were talking to another man. "

She quickly shakes her head no. She knows how possessive he can be also he gets very jealous.

"I swear it was Mandy here you can check my phone, I'm telling the truth it was Mandy no one else!"

She looks him in the eye so he can see she telling the truth. He reaches his hand out,

" Phone now, " She quickly hands him her phone he opens it to see she only has one call and that is from Mandy. He has Mandy's number memorized so he knows it's hers.

He also checks to see how long they talk and it shows half an hour he looks at the time seeing it's right as he was getting home. He closes the phone and gives it back to her leaning in close to her ear. "That my good girl for telling the truth, I'll let you slide this time you got five minutes to get my dinner to the table."

He turns walking out of the kitchen. She lets out a breath and moves to the stove with shaking hands and a racing heart she pulls all the food out setting it all on trays then she takes them out to the table and serves him his dinner she wanted to ask about going out and seeing duke and Mandy but she will wait to ask later maybe after dinner he will be in a better mood she knows she has to be careful when asking she doesn't want to make him mad.

They sat and ate quietly when he finally asked her if she had done all the things he said to. She looks at him and replies with a yes sir. He smiles lightly knowing she following his rules still after two years. She knows what he likes and how to stay on his good side.

He remembers when he first laid eyes on her. She wasn't throwing her attention at him she was just standing there in her rain introducing him once she spoke he knew she had to be his no matter what he would make her his.

He looks at her seeing her head down looks at her plate and pushes the food around so that there's something she wants.

"How is duke doing?" He asked her. She freezes for a min looks up.

"He doing good Mandy says he misses me." She looks back down at her plate and continues to push her food around. He sits there looking at her

"Is there something else?" He asked her.

She takes a breath and looks up.

"I Was wondering if I could go see him this weekend, Mandy will be home I would like to take a ride on him it's been over a month since the last time I saw him. "

She put her gaze back down to the table. "Hmmm, Well I have to work at the farm this week, and seeing how you have done all I've asked this week with the one exception of dinner being late today I'll let you go out there on Saturday."

"I will drive you and pick you up I should be only a few hours at the farm which will give you enough time with the duke. "

She smiles and thanks him she gets up and starts cleaning up for dinner

She reaches for his plate and he grabs her arm she looks at him he's looking at her with that look of mischief.

"That's all I get is a thank you for letting you go?" He pulls her over to stand by him she swallows hard.

She knows what he's up to and what he wants she hates herself for having to give in to his wants but to keep on his good side she has to play his game.

So she smiles and says

"What would you like in return for allowing me the day sir..."

He smiles widely he pulls her down to him so they are inches apart.

"You know what I want now to be a good girl and show me how much you appreciate the time I've allowed you... "

I'm sitting in my office doing paperwork for all the business I have running along with all the packing work. when I hear a knock on my door.

"Come in, " I tell the person. The door opens and in walks my Beta Nick.

"Hey man Clara needs you to call her she said it was important. "

I look at him with that look like don't you see I'm busy?

"What can be so important she is saying for me to call?

"I don't know man she called me to see if I was with you cause she tried calling you but no surprise you didn't answer. "

"Huh, Wonder if that's who's been ringing my phone. Alright let me finish this paper and I'll call her. "

She probably has something going on at the farm or needs something done. I don't care about what goes on there it's one of my business but not one I'm generally considered about that's why I let Clara run it.

She knows more about what to do with it. About fifteen minutes later I'm done with this paper I grab my phone and call her. she picks up. "

"Why hello Alpha glad you return my call."

"Yeah sorry about that Clara little busy here what is it you need?"

"Well I needed to ask you a favor, I know how you feel about humans being in our territory but I have a friend who needs a huge favor."

She starts explaining everything an I'm listening well half listening.

God, she should be a salesperson with how much she can talk.

"Okay, Okay," I say to her

" I'll agree just keep her out there with you I don't need a human girl finding out about us I have enough to worry about!" "Oh thank you, Alpha I will call her right away. "

With that, I hang up the phone. Rubbing my temples My wolf Seth is all excited pacing in my head and giving me a headache dude chill you're making my head hurt.

"We need to find out more about this human I'm curious please Zander." What got him all in a frenzy my goodness we don't even know her.

"Calm down man she is a human we don't need a human nosing around. "

Seth continues to pace around so I just block him out. He will be mad but I'll let him out later right now I have enough work to do without him going on about a human... I just hope Clara doesn't slip up about anything probably should have listened a little more but she just talks too much.
