FROM THE PAN TO THE FIRE.

She likewise looked at me in confusion and asked me whether i have ever washed clothes to which i answered yes though using washing machine bet it now dawned on her why i was surprised, without further question she bent down and washed the clothes through friction method with her hands, after rinsing she hanged them on a clothes line. The day went well with everything being new to me, thankfully Brigit was more understanding while Deborah was a little dramatic. Later in the evening the lady came back in company of another lady who drove her and the vehicle had to be parked outside there wasn't much space inside. When they got "aunty"(decided to call her so) who was my host introduced us to her lady friend and she told me that she was going to help me with tracing my family, therefore this her friend asked me if i had anything to identify them and i excitedly gave her the photo i had, she asked the name of the company to which i told her without hesitation. She told me she was going to take the photo with her which i didn't object, they told me they realized reporting to the police was going to take time even years in tracing my family but since she knew private detectors she was going to ask for their help therefore making it easy tracing my family. "Aunty" was very helpful and so considerate she even bought me some few clothes in order to have something to change into for the time i will be there, she also told me it was important for me to learn how to do chores in order to be helping the girls in the house and i was eager to learn how to do most of the house chores without machines, yes there was no washing machine, dish washer, vacuum cleaner, lawn mower (not that there was a lawn anyway but i saw it at home & have never handled it) and any other machine that made work easier actually for the first time i saw people using firewood to cook, i just knew of logs that were used for warmth when camping which we did once in a while, also there wasn't any heaters in order to keep the house warm on cold nights, however with all these changes i was ready to learn and was happy to help around. I improved as days passed on, now i comfortably could wash the dishes alone though the cooking pots gave me trouble, i could sweep though i took longer than everyone else best thing Brigit was very patient with me unlike her sister who seemed pissed by any mistake i made, she was also very bossy, she actually took my hoods without asking me and that's how they became hers, she replaced them with some old baggy jumpers since i didn't want to fight with her and had more at home i let her have them.. I thought the lady who took my family photo was coming after a week, however a week turned into a month and now we were in our third month, however "aunty" used to update me on every move that's why i was so patient, around the fifth month "aunty" came with her friend again and they seemed in a good mood, the lady was smiling widely at me, i couldn't wait to hear the news she had for me, therefore i run to the kitchen came with tea and served them, i had become so swift with the chores one might think that was my way of life or where i was born. However my skin had changed so much, it was a bit rough and had become darker due to too much sun exposure  but i didn't bother about that too much because "aunty" kept telling me its a matter of time before i get re-united with my family and this hope kept me going, i was going to request my dad to reward them generously for their hospitality and willingness to live with me for all this time. After they were done taking tea and seemed to catch up in their language which i hadn't really mastered, they called me and this lady informed me that she was taking me with her because there seemed to be a good lead and they wanted me to be there on event they need any clarification or to be the first to meet my family once they are back. To say i was overjoyed is an understatement i was literally over the moon cat walking, on the other hand i felt bad leaving the girls and the life i had now adopted behind, Brigit was the one affected most because we had formed a bond and i used to teach her English she now conversed in English, rarely using her mother tongue i used to laugh whenever she saw her peers and she would shout in English pretending to talk to me but she was just bragging sometimes even the things she said didn't make any sense at all but i played along to just keep her head high. You wondering about school right? well school wasn't any of my worries at the end of the day when i go back home, i will continue with where i left, my main agenda was to find my family which now was so close. After the lady told me of the progress she told me to pack and she was going to explain any other detail and answer any questions later, i went in "our bedroom" packed my few clothes in my back pack, took a shower and dressed in the clothes i first came here with except for the hoodie which Deborah had taken but that was a non-issue to me. As i was bidding them goodbye i was surprised to see even Deborah shedding tears ,that was a first!! for Brigit i wasn't surprised because i also found my own tears coming out without my permission, after bidding them goodbye, "aunty" walked us to the car and embraced me warmly. She told me not to forget them once my family was found and to always take care of myself, she also told me that i was a welcome visitor who now was considered as family. All these warmth was new to me, is this the same lady who sometimes was louder than a thunderstorm? anyway people really do camouflage but i wasn't going to forget her help, she housed and fed me for all those months on top she was helping me in finding my family to which i was more than greatful. They talked some more and we got in the vehicle and  started our journey, my new "aunty" was so nice she even gave me some juice which was now like gold to me, i felt like draining all of it down with just one sip but had to behave modestly not to ruin my image in-front of her but before getting halfway, i felt so sleepy so she advised me to lean the seat for comfort-ability before long i was fast asleep, didn't know the route we took or the final destination but i was so eager to meet my family soon. All i had was faith, hope and trust in these strangers but i didn't know this was going to take another twist, did i just fall from the pan to the fire?
