“Hello, my love," Lucas smiles when he sees me. He hands me a beautiful little box of chocolates.
“Hi, Lucas," I smile at him then I pop one into my mouth, savoring the delicious chocolate before handing the rest of them to Jackie to share.
“Mmm, delicious. I knew there was something we forgot to do, Belgium chocolate," I shake my head, ashamed of us but I smile at him.
“Have fun!" Jackie winks at me as she, Natalie, and Margot climb into the car with the other boys. Lucas and I stand on the sidewalk together and watch the car pull away.
“So," I say when I turn to face Lucas, suddenly nervous.
“So," Lucas repeats, and a smile grows on his face. “I am excited to show you this place. It is delicious."
