“Could you pass me the dish over there?” I said to Rick who was closer to the dish of fried chips. Just before he could move, Derrick stretched and got it. It must be great having long limbs.
“Here,” he said as he placed the dish before me.
“Thanks,” I mumbled, avoiding his gaze as I helped myself to it.
I could literally hear the smug on Rick and Damian's face.
Derrick new behavior surprised me everyday. Each new day I saw a side of him I never knew existed. He was sweet, kind, considerate and thoughtful. He could even make cute faces. Heaven!
He was one step ahead each time there was a bump on my way. He told me he was going to try his best to read me so he could understand my mood changes. f*****g understanding. Holy s**t. What else did a woman needed in a man?
