I met one of the men who saved my mate’s life after she found that maggot of a mate. He found us just beyond the border of Twin Lakes Pack. We were just preparing to enter the territory and find Cassie when he approached us, hands raised in a sign of surrender.
“I want to help” he said, and I instinctively believed him, “Cassie is a friend. I helped her heal after her rejection and aided in her escape”
“How do you know we are here for her?” I couldn’t understand why this stranger from another pack was speaking to us so calmly or that he seemed to know who we were. It didn’t make sense to me.
“Not many people know she is here, but 2 of the people that do know want her freed, she doesn’t belong here.”
