After finishing our shift we both head back to the cabin, and to Cassie. I needed to see her, to be sure she was safe. When I leave her, the urge to return grows the longer we are apart. I still don't understand this connection, but for now I'm going to go with it. Hopefully, once Jack knows, I will be able to search for some answers, but for now, well, that is what it is, I guess.
When we got to the cabin, Cassie was already up and waiting for us. She knew one of us would be by. I let her know where I was going. Now I have seen her, the ache has dissipated.
As I leave, I hear Daisy start to explain the plan. I don't want to leave knowing how worried Cassie will be, but I trust Daisy will keep her calm and distracted.
