Isla’s POV I’d worn a line into the hospital floor by the time Zayne finally came back. Back and forth. Back and forth. From the window to the door. From the door to the chair I refused to sit in. My legs ached, my head buzzed, and every sound in the hallway made my spine tighten like I was about to be caught doing something wrong. Which was ridiculous. I hadn’t done anything. Except think.
